The updated Garbage Record Book is to be used on board vessels to record discharges from ships and incinerations on board ships.In accordance with regulation 10 of Annex V of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 (MARPOL), a record is to be kept of each discharge operation or completed incineration.Split into two parts: Part 1: Relevant for all ships Part 2: Relevant only to ships carrying solid bulk cargoes The updated rules shall enter into force on the 1 March 2018.
